Feeling Down? This May be Why!
Not having a purpose in your life or even your day can leave you in a space of low grade misery, board, restless with little satisfaction. Feelings of guilt will pervade but you will not be sure why. You will want to go back to bed, you’ll feel unloved, unnoticed, unlovable. You might even feel disgusted, hate your life and yourself. At this point you may seek relief by drinking, smoking pot, being promiscuous, or having an affair, like the new show Satisfaction exemplifies so clearly. After this, clinical symptoms may even appear like outright depression, anxiety and even self harm. If you have felt this misery, I ask you, have you resisted what you feel you should do with your life? Do you resist completing even your goals for the day? If so, you are not alone. Many of us struggle with this battle deep within our hearts, one minute believing we could accomplish anything if given the chance, and the next feeling we have very little to offer the world. It is within this dichotomy that a miserable life evolves. As I teach people to feel happy using 10 second increments through out their day they, are releasing the brain chemicals responsible for making us feel good. Well finding purpose in any moment will also reward you those same chemicals.
Any time a group of scientists do a study to find who the happiest employees or workers are in the world, the answer is always the same. Those whose responsibilities impact their colleagues the most. The ones who troubleshoot and figure out the problems of others, report having the most pleasure in their lives and jobs. Purpose, the feeling of being needed or the sense of accomplishment, rewards the brain with the neurotransmitter serotonin. Making you feel safe, secure and connected. But a “purpose” can also be found moment to moment as opportunities appear and give you a chance to impact another person or your environment. These are opportunities to experience the happy juice of serotonin, lifting your spirits in a matter of seconds. Evolution proved over time that humans would only survive with the help of each other, so a drive evolved that leads us to help, make things better, support and connect with others for an optimum life.
Even lending a hand to someone you really don’t want to, or tackling that job around the house that you have been avoiding, will still reward you with serotonin, so when you wake up and find yourself feeling down or blue. Feel better by taking a moment to either tackle some small activity of cleaning out a drawer or closet, neatening up a room, rearranging some furniture, or even cleaning out your car. In seconds you will have the happy juice you are craving. To find your life’s purpose there are tons of books written to get you back on track. buy one today and give the world what you were put here to give. C’mon no one can do what you are suppose to do, don’t keep us waiting!
